Coalition for Community Solar Access Statement on Senate Passage of Inflation Reduction Act

Washington, D.C. The United States Senate today passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which contains significant investments in energy security and clean energy development, including solar energy. Following is a statement from Jeff Cramer, President and CEO, Coalition for Community Solar Access: “Today’s historic vote in the Senate will unleash billions of dollars in private capital to build clean energy infrastructure across the country and lower energy bills for millions of Americans – especially those most in need. The bill provides unprecedented long-term certainty for the market and incentives for states to deploy more community solar and storage projects that increase grid resiliency, create family sustaining jobs, and build a more clean, affordable, and equitable electric grid. We will look back on this bill as the fuel that accelerated the country’s shift to clean, resilient power. We urge swift passage in the House.”
